The British Library had a problem that many organisations will recognise. Their 'roadmap' was an assemblage of Excel and PowerPoint documents and had failed to engage the business. Also, the dependencies within projects were unclear.

Chief Architect British Library City and Guilds contacted Konvergent for help with a pressing though not uncommon issue. Due to under-capacity in their architecture practice, some critical business programmes were slipping towards red. Their architecture practice was highly skilled but lacked the resources to cope with the demand.
City and Guilds is a not-for-profit organisation, so Konvergent’s AaaS model provided the best of both worlds: high quality in the correct quantity. As a result, Konvergent is now a trusted advisor to the organisation.
We fixed their immediate needs and then, through our director of consulting, provided a series of services, including Architecture-as-as-Service and Chief Architect as a Service. This ensured that the excellent work started by the incumbent head of architecture could be successfully continued.
