As a trusted partner, we provide expertise in many of the digital workstreams that are transforming the group. We also pioneered the use of an AaaS approach.

Currently, we are working on Arup's enterprise cloud strategy and their migration to Azure and Office 365. We are also providing ongoing support to their cloud migration programme by producing HLDs and options analysis.

The people systems transformation remains one of the largest projects currently in flight at Arup.
Konvergent has worked with Vodafone since our formation in 2015. During that time, we’ve completed several projects at the more technical end of architecture – from security vendor assessments to the development of a companywide big data implementation.

However, our most impressive achievement for them to date was the development of their strategic cloud platform.

The Group Head of Infrastructure and Cloud at Vodafone engaged Konvergent to help deliver a consolidated cloud strategy suitable for the 27 operating companies in the group.
Once the strategy had gained approval from the Vodafone Group board, Konvergent engaged with our network of highly skilled architects. We then quickly assembled an interim project team to deliver the architecture for the MVP.
Arup recognised that the shortcomings of their HR technology footprint posed a significant operational and commercial risk. Calling on Konvergent’s experience of HR digital transformation, they wanted us to help board members and HR leaders understand the scope of their technology needs, capability gaps and need for technology market insight.

This led to the company’s first global investment in HR technology, a digital HR strategy and alignment with their global Cloud strategy. Our accelerated approach supported Arup through RFI/RFP, business case development and global HR systems implementation across five regions and 38 countries.

This would not have been possible without our team’s focus on simple messaging, engaging visuals and outstanding collaboration.

Our technological impartiality ensured a successful RFP process (though both of the final global ERP vendors wrote to complain of bias against them!).

Konvergent was contacted by the Group Head of Infrastructure and Cloud at Vodafone. We were asked to support the delivery of a consolidated cloud strategy suitable for an operating group of 27 companies.

The first stage was to gain approval for our strategy from the Vodafone Group board. Once this was achieved, we engaged with our network of highly skilled architects. We quickly assembled an interim project team led by Konvergent’s cloud strategist to deliver the architecture for the MVP.
3-year programme Konvergent supported BT on a significant health and safety initiative for three years, using our AaaS model.

This was a classic example of using AaaS to its full potential. It was a critically important project that needed expert solution architecture support. However, it did not need or have the funding for a full-time architect. Also, the length of the programme did not require different skill sets.

The project initially started as an RFI/RFP programme. This included the deep dive technical and security assessment of the suppliers. Eventually, it became a cloud-based, fully mobile, pan BT solution adopted by the entire company.
