The Ask:

For architecture to be a true strategic enabler, it needs to connect a true outside-in view at the customer experience level. However, this rarely happens, and architecture teams can look at a problem from the wrong perspective.

Konvergent worked with insurance company Just Group on such an issue. By focusing on the business concerns and desires first before moving into architecture outputs, we produced a stunning visualised, customer-focused view of a complex business problem. Thus, CxO level stakeholders understood the decisions they needed to make that had struggled to be articulated over the previous two years.

Key Points:

  • Turned from ‘death by PowerPoint’ to an immersive journey.
  • Just Group team members have been able to immerse themselves in what that customer journey will be.
  • Highly valuable for the Change Director. It allowed him to understand the consequences and to see what the likely further drill down of the change investment would be.
  • Removed ‘Ostrich syndrome’ and made stakeholders aware of what they’re committing to.
